Well this was a huge project.
We're well-known for our ability to produce online mapping, and the challenge to map the largest county in England just could not be ignored! We recently completed the Landscape Character Assessment for the whole county, essentially mapping everything that's happened on each parcel of land land since the ice-age! For Discover Suffolk, we turned the idea of an information website into THE definitive information portal for a county that's full of surprises. From basic OS material, we re-drew the entire mapping layers with all points of interests, hot-spots, walks, byways, cycle-paths, pubs and much more. It's an amazing resource now - Google Maps eat your heart out :-)
The Discover project has subsequently attracted support from almost a dozen local government agencies, and the website is enjoying monster traffic! We're very proud of this one - check it out...
