Well, those of you who've read Tom's Place Blog will know he's already proffered some predictions, as our resident footie pundit. Given my connections to the place, I'm pleased to see Portugal on decent form, and winning their opening gambit quite comfortably. 

There's been plenty of comment about Italy's stuffing, but it won't bother them too much.  They can turn it on when they need to, and don't really seem to take the 'smaller' matches that seriously!  Crazy attitude but what can you say..!?

Anyway - well done Portugal, my money's currently safe...

Hmm - Portugal win 3-1 against Czech republic last night, and go through as leaders in their group. Nice start boys!  Roll on the office sweepstake
